Design and Costings

The optimum location for solar panels is somewhere south facing with a clear horizon from east to west. Rarely, however do we find this perfect scenario so if you have a clear view generally towards south with no obstructions or heavy shading through the day then solar could prove beneficial to you.

There are several options for mounting the solar panels:

Ground mounted – ideal in paddocks or part of a large garden.

On a pitched roof – rails mounted to the roof with the panels fitted on top.

On a flat roof – a mounting frame to hold the panels placed on the roof secured by ballast.

In roof (integrated) – removal of the tiles then trays fixed to the battens which then hold the panels.

Other options such as vertical panels on walls and solar fences.

The price for installation can vary according due to the following factors:

  • The size of the installation.
  • The capacity of battery storage.
  • The location of equipment, closer to the incoming supply is best.
  • The complexity of the roof.
  • The scale and complexity of any required scaffolding.
  • This would be carried out using high quality equipment as opposed to a budget range and will be installed to a high standard with as little disruption to you as possible.

You can claim the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) which pays you for any surplus electricity exported to the grid.

Take advantage of 0% VAT on full PV installation and retrofit battery storage until 31 st March 2027.
